Here’s To Beginnings
Hello! So if you’re reading this, you’re reading the first official blog post on notes by kendra! This might be small fries to some, but to me, this is a huge accomplishment! I’ve always loved writing, and pre-pandemic, I didn’t know if my passion would ever turn into something more, like ever. This last year (and some change) has been rough, but at the same time, I’ve tried really, really hard to count my blessings and be grateful for the opportunities that have come my way. With that said, I knew this was my moment to hone in on my writing skills, and just go for it.
Ever since I was gifted a domain name for my birthday from my fiancé (Hey, Jordan!) I knew it was time to focus and create a space of my own. This space is dedicated to what inspires, moves, and drives me to be the best writer and person I can be. Emotions are high, and the overwhelming moments are present, but that’s half the fun in it, right?
I live for cheesy quotes, and at the beginning of the pandemic, I dedicated a notebook to them. I found quotes that resonated with me at the time, wrote them down, and then wrote down how they affected me. “Do what you love, and love what you do” might’ve not struck a cord five years ago, but it does now. Life is too short to clock in and out; do what you truly love and forget all the rest. Loving what you “do” might be an afterthought to some, but for many, it seems unachievable. It’s not, and I hope everyone gets the chance to figure that out.
